The Power of Mindful Movement

Introducing Allongé: A 10-Minute Movement Method with Intention

In a world that moves fast, it’s easy to feel like we don’t have time to take care of ourselves. That’s exactly why I created Allongé—a 10-minute low-impact, high-burn workout designed to meet you where you are.

What is Allongé?

Allongé (French for “elongated”) is a quick, full-body strength training method inspired by the elegance of Pilates, the precision of barre, and the functional power of movement. Each workout is just 10 minutes long, using ankle and wrist weights to add resistance without requiring bulky equipment or a gym setup.

This isn’t meant to replace your existing fitness regimen—it’s a supplemental method that enhances your current movement routine. Whether you’re squeezing it in during your lunch break or stacking it onto another workout, Allongé is designed to fit your life.

Why Just 10 Minutes?

Because it’s intentional. Every movement in Allongé is thoughtfully curated to deliver maximum burn in minimum time. With a focus on controlled tempo and range of motion, we activate small and large muscle groups simultaneously. You’ll feel the fire—without needing an hour-long class.

A Mind-Body Approach

Allongé isn’t about rushing through reps. It’s about being present in your body and treating movement as a form of connection. I encourage you to focus on your form, breath, and mindset. Think of each 10-minute session as a reset, a moment to reconnect with yourself in the middle of your busy day.

This method honors the mind-body connection by keeping things slow, precise, and grounded in intention.

My Personal Journey

I started Allongé out of necessity. Like many women, I needed something that would strengthen my body without wearing it down—something low impact but effective. As a fitness manager at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center (LFJCC) in San Diego, I’ve taught countless classes and watched women thrive when they had tools that fit into their real lives.

I’ve always been drawn to the aesthetic and feel of elongated movement—from barre to Pilates—so when I had the opportunity to create my own class at the JCC, I knew I wanted to build something empowering and efficient.

That class became known as Power Tone, which used similar principles but in a longer format. However, in that class, we only used hand weights because of limited access to ankle weights. That limitation inspired me to create something new—something anyone could do at home with just two pieces of equipment: ankle and wrist weights.

Allongé was born from that vision.

My Call to Action

This isn’t just about fitness. It’s about connection and community.

I’m a mom of two beautiful girls, a full-time professional, and someone who deeply believes in the power of people coming together. That’s why every Allongé video ends with the same reminder:

“Restez actifs, restez connectés. Merci.”
Stay active, stay connected. Thank you.

Through Allongé, I want to empower people to move and also encourage them to engage with their local community centers—whether it’s the JCC or any wellness hub that brings people together. Community is where true wellness lives.
